Running Back To You

Liam and I met in Nashville while attending the Country Music Hall of Fame songwriting camp. After camp, we stayed in touch and began writing and performing music together. Before working with Liam, I had never collaborated with another artist, but co-writing was always something I wanted to explore.
In late July, we had our first co-writing session. We started by creating a storyline and developing two characters that each of us could portray throughout the song. By the end of the day, we had written Better in the Rain.
As summer came to an end, we both got busy working on separate projects. When fall arrived, we found time to schedule another co-write. That day, we wrote Running Back to You. We instantly loved the song and knew it was something worth sharing.
After the release of my debut EP, Dear Baby, I traveled to Nashville for a handful of performances and promotional opportunities. While getting ready for one of my shows, I listened to old demos of our songs and realized they were connected. I immediately called Liam and suggested we turn the songs into a concept EP, all we had to do was write the beginning of the story. When I returned from Nashville, we got together and quickly wrote I Can Be Your Home, completing the story we had unintentionally started months earlier.
The next step was bringing the songs to life in the studio. Once our schedules opened up, I drove to Liam’s house to record my vocals. We had a makeshift recording setup in his basement, complete with blankets hanging from the ceiling for soundproofing. Over the following weeks, Liam added instrumentation, produced the tracks, and mixed each song until they were ready for release. By the end of the process, we had gone through about 18 different versions of each track.
We are so proud of this EP and so grateful to be able to share it! Go stream!!!!!!!!
